The most efficient and sustainable method of draining large quantities of surface water is and remains linear drainage, in which channel elements collect the water and feed it in their fluidized bed to the connected pipeline. This water cycle can show natural weaknesses with increasing service life, because dirt particles also enter the channel body with the water, settle there and can obstruct the drainage over time. As a consequence, gutters and pipes can become clogged or even damaged, and often unpleasant odors are generated that reach the surface through the pipes.

Our latest product innovation offers a practical solution to this problem and combines several advantages compared to conventional pipe sockets:

In contrast to conventional pipe cylinders, the new ANRIN Venturi-Socket has been designed to be asymmetrical and funnel-shaped. Why? The funnel-like widening of the pipe socket and the smooth surface structure of the material ensure a harmonious transition from channel to pipe, and the asymmetry of the cross-section creates a pronounced water vortex in the outflow. This significantly increases the flow velocity of the water to be drained.
This accelerated drainage also has the advantage that the channel lines are cleaned automatically. Small, stubborn dirt particles are entrained by the pronounced suction effect and the channel remains free of adhering foreign matter for longer.
ANRIN Venturi-Socket – optimized drainage with integrated odor trap
While water and dirt are discharged through the channel system unimpeded, the integrated shutter flap prevents odors from rising from the wastewater and escaping through the channel system. The spring-loaded flap opens due to the pressure of the incoming water and closes automatically when the drain is closed.
This trap is the optimal complement to the pipe socket and thus forms the new standard pipe connection at ANRIN, which is installed with immediate effect in all channel systems of nominal width 100. Another advantage, in addition to its high hydraulic performance and reliable cleaning effect, is its insensitivity to frost. Even at very low temperatures, the mechanism of the shutter flap retains its functionality. So nothing stands in the way of year-round odor-neutral drainage with the ANRIN quality promise.
Good to know: An additional integrated leaf mesh already catches coarse dirt that should not get into the pipe. It was developed to fit the Ventur-Socket connection exactly and can be mounted directly above the pipe opening. Of course, the shutter flap can be easily removed for cleaning the pipe during maintenance and easily reinserted. Please ensure that it engages correctly after insertion so that the wastewater can flow through the shutter flap, thereby ensuring complete odor trap.
