Stanford Heights Fire Station (New York, USA)

In the Schenectady/Colonie area of New York State, a modern fire station has been constructed to support daily operations involving extreme loads from heavy emergency vehicles. For the safe and efficient drainage of the new apparatus bay, ANRIN heavy-duty edge-protected channels with Oval-Grip grates were installed — the project was managed in cooperation with our partner Northstar Industries. The system includes edge-protected channels and catch basins, combined with the Oval-Grip design grate. The selected E600 load class ensures maximum stability for high point loads and the continuous operation of large fire trucks. E600 systems are engineered for zones exposed to extreme traffic loads — similar to filling stations, loading areas or industrial transport routes. The drainage channels were integrated directly into the vehicle lanes of the fire trucks and now ensure clean, safe, and low-maintenance removal of surface water within the facility. As a result, the station meets both functional and economic requirements of modern operational buildings. With this project, ANRIN once again demonstrates that its high-quality drainage systems “Made in Germany” set international standards — wherever durability, reliability, and advanced technical performance are required.
