For the flawless functionality of drainage construction elements, three components are important during production: high-quality materials of the drainage elements, load-specific grates and precisely fitting closures.

At ANRIN, we produce civil engineering elements made of polymer concrete, also known as mineral cast, reaction resin concrete or synthetic resin concrete. The difference to classical concrete, where cement is used as binder, is the use of epoxy resins in polymer concrete. These hold together the other ingredients such as sand, grit, gravel and quartz, creating a material matrix with compelling properties.

Polymer concrete is

durable
valuable
highly resilient
resistant to chemicals

These physical properties enable the production of slender and compact components with a comparatively light weight, simplifying handling on construction sites. Polymer concrete even remains resistant to liquids such as oils, gasoline or acids. Due to their high load-bearing capacity, ANRIN heavy-duty drains are installed in application areas where large, heavy vehicles pass over them with high frequency, such as logistics centers, commissioning zones, airport runways, bus stations, etc. A heavyduty drain with a cast iron frame and cast iron grates in the highest quality can bear traffic loads of up to 900 kN.

At ANRIN, we pay special attention to the design and construction of the cover grates, providing specially adapted closures, forming a perfect unit with the drain. Materials such as cast iron, stainless steel and plastic offer individual features and are chosen with regard to the application requirements and visual aspects.

Cast iron provides highly durable components. Inlet cross-sections can be easily modeled, offering flexible design options.

Plastic grates can be made in a wide range of colors. In addition, there are various surface finishing options, for example featuring a slip-resistant surface. Additionally, the material is corrosion-resistant.

Stainless steel grates are also corrosion-resistant and stand out from other materials due to their high-quality surface and elegant finish.

ANRIN offers three types of closures: the TwistLock, SnapLock and RapidLock.

The TwistLock closure is used in grates for drains with a nominal width of 100 mm and an edge protection frame. Using a screw, a plastic knob is attached and tightened with one turn. This simple mechanism makes the TwistLock particularly easy to maintain and provides corrosion resistance.

The SnapLock lock, on the other hand, is used in grates for drains with a 150 and 200 mm nominal width and an edge protection frame. This closure mechanism, in which a stainless steel spring springs into the opening of the edge frame when it engages, is already integrated into the respective cover grate. The result is a stable interlocking of grate and body of the drain. The SnapLock is resistant to lateral forces and can be opened and closed without special tools.

The patented RapidLock closure was specially developed by ANRIN for heavy-duty drains with nominal widths of 100, 150, 200 and 300 mm with a cast frame. The connection between the drain and the grate is created by a locking hook that can be hooked i…

The patented RapidLock closure was specially developed by ANRIN for heavy-duty drains with nominal widths of 100, 150, 200 and 300 mm with a cast frame. The connection between the drain and the grate is created by a locking hook that can be hooked into the openings in the drain, incorporating the help of a spring. The stable interlocking of grate and drain allows heavy traffic loads to be absorbed. Another advantage of the closure mechanism: its functionality is maintained even when exposed to debris.
